Home made wood and canvas kayak project
Wood and canvas kayak building photos. I used plans found online for the Canvasback Kayak, the plans were published in a 1973 Mechanix Illustrated. I decided that this was going to be my first kayak building project.
So few pieces, yet almost done.

12' long

As my garage is kind of chilly
It took a long
time to dry

I wet the canvas and rinsed
this made it easy to stretch
I was able to pull and staple
the canvas
tight to frame
the materials cost about
$250 total, I bought new
hemlock in 15' lengths
